2023 Morocco Cavalcade at night

Each year, the invite-only Ferrari Cavalcade sets out to awe spectators and reward passionate Ferrari owners and enthusiasts with an ultra-exclusive treat. This year was no exception, with over 80 stunning Ferrari models piloting across a 1,000 km route that navigated scenic deserts and coastlines in this grand affair. Essaouira, Morocco, played a prominent role, with the “City of Wind” serving as an ideal host for the artistry that is a Prancing Horse procession. Read on through our Ferrari research guide below to take a closer look at the exemplary 2023 Ferrari Cavalcade.

What is the Ferrari Cavalcade?

Whether you’re fresh to the Ferrari scene or you’ve been driving an Italian thoroughbred for years, you may not have heard of the Ferrari Cavalcade. So, what is the Ferrari Cavalcade you ask? The Ferrari Cavalcade is an annual four-day road exhibition rally traditionally held in a different region of Italy. Recently, the cavalcade has expanded, with the 2022 rendition featuring a Riviera theme that saw the procession prance through Italy, France, and the Principality of Monaco.

The Ferrari Cavalcade is an invitation-only event that requires a place of prominence among the Ferrari community to make the shortlist. The yearly spectacle serves as an opportunity to treat Ferrari devotees, celebrate the rich Prancing Horse history, showcase incredible scenery, and debut new Ferrari models.

2023 Ferrari Cavalcade: Morocco

The 2023 Ferrari Cavalcade lived up to the history, expectations, and grandeur by touring the richest sites Morocco has to offer. With stops in the coastal city of Essaouira and the UNESCO heritage site of Aït Benhaddou, locals and participants took the meaning of sightseeing to new heights. The procession of over 80 Prancing Horses was equaled by the diversity and richness of the Moroccan landscape that was on full display. Sights from the Agafay desert and the Atlantic ocean dotted the trail of the impressive cavalcade.

An exciting delight for this year’s international attendees was the unveiling of the new Ferrari Roma Spider. This exceptional soft-top convertible was set on the world’s stage for the very first time during the culminating event at the Palais El Badi in Marrakesh. The high-performance GT debuted on March 16th to much fanfare and acclaim.

The final event of the 2023 Ferrari Cavalcade took place at Palais El Bahia, the ancient royal residence in Marrakesh. The gala dinner presented the opportunity for Ferrari clients to secure exclusive regalia and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Chief among the top awards was the chance to view the 2023 Formula 1 Grand Prix live at the Scuderia Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello. Proceeds from the gala were earmarked for FMPS (The Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of PreSchool Education). This non-profit focuses on delivering high-quality early childhood education to over 450,000 Moroccan children.
