Continental Autosports, an Official Ferrari Dealer since 1975, presents this 2002 Talbo Series 2. Produced by TLC Carrossiers Inc, the beautiful flowing lines of the Talbo owe their inspiration to designs of the late 1930's Talbot Lago.
Out of 17 total recreations hand built by TLC Carrossiers, we know this vehicle to be the last one constructed and an extremely well built vehicle. This one-owner 2002 Talbo was delivered new here at Continental Autosports and always serviced at Continental by our certified technicians. A true piece of well kept and maintained history.
The Talbot-Lago is one of five Figoni et Falaschi bodied cars of the 1920s and '30s and is considered one of the most beautiful cars in the world. The Talbo takes these timeless shapes and delicately interprets them in a modern automobile. After over ten years of producing the original series, the chassis was updated and now uses a four cam all-Aluminum V-8 engine and several other refinements; thus the Talbo Series 2. Opening the oval door and sitting in the comfortable interior you are surrounded with craftsmanship in wood, leather, and metal, reminding you of times past when quality was more than just a word. Combine the exquisite coachwork with a bespoke solid modern chassis and powertrain and you have a driving experience that is unequaled. The Talbo is not just about visual sensations, it is a vehicle meant to be driven. The performance and handling is world class. Extended cross country trips are also an exciting and comfortable experience.
TLC Carrossiers, Inc. was founded in 1990 to produce a very special automobile, the Talbo. When the first Talbo was completed it was driven to Detroit for the 'Eye's on the Classics' show and received very complementary critical acclaim from many well known and respected automotive authorities. Strother McMinn stated that the Talbo was truly a work of art, fully representing the heritage of the classic French shapes. 'Mac' was honorary chief judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance for many years, an instructor at the Art Center in Automotive Design, and perhaps the most authoritative voice of classic design.
