It was here where a journalist had seen the famous Porsche 550 Speeder on display and had asked what it was. But due to the language barrier, when they were told its name, “speeder” had been turned into “spider”. And it stuck. Granted, it does sound a bit fantastical, but no matter how the name came to be, it still makes for quite an interesting story.
